Kurt Warner – a common man? Come on! In his 12 years with the NFL MVP, he earned two trophies, one Super Bowl title and three Super Bowl appearances and went for 32,000 yards. How can this be normal? This is his story now, and not where his story began.
But Before I talk about it, I did send this heart felt thanks to Kurt Warner for all he has for us devoted football fans in St. Louis and the extraordinary Person it is. I'm still wearing my jersey Kurt Warner, as I The St. Louis Rams won the Super Bowl in 1999. While known for baseball's St. Louis, our city is a great sports city. There were many a diehard Cardinals football fan who defied the elements outside (I think my toes have finally, after a Thanksgiving Redskins vs. Cardinals game), to support their team thawed. The Cardinals never came close to the Super Bowl ever. Our city was so shocked when the Cardinals left Arizona move. So when the Rams moved to St. Louis, we were thrilled. I will always love Kurt Warner for his history, his humility and dedicated to saving St. Louis Football fans, by our team, the Super Bowl.
After college, he was ready, not Warner drafted by the NFL. He had an invitation to try out for the Green Bay Packers, but was told that he was not ready for the NFL, although he had great potential.
To pay his bills, he stocked shelves at the Hy-Vee grocery store. Undeterred by the upheavals in the NFL, he turned the Arena Football League. Its performance was so impressive that, in the St. Louis Rams 1998 accepted.
Kurt began with the Rams as the third quarterback and was to be promoted to second string. Trent Green was the first quarterback until he a torn ACL suffered. When Green was hurt, I thought, 'Oh, no! We are a team again, that could be a winner, and now we have lost our quarterback. " Kurt Warner (who?) Trat and there was no going back. He put together one of the best seasons by a quarterback in NFL history, and took the Rams, the Super Bowl winner of the Super Bowl trophy and NFL MVP award. In 2001, Kurt Warner, St. Louis Rams to another Super Bowl. We have not win this time, but it was all a game. Kurt would leave the Rams in 2004, go to the New York Giants, are peppered with injuries and benched a lot. In In 2005 he was signed by the Arizona Cardinals, is still battling injuries and not always the starting quarterback. He won again, why the Arizona Cardinals to their first Super Bowl in 2008.
When Kurt Warner is talking about his successes, his struggles and triumphs, he's always lead to credit God and guide him and his personal Relationship with Jesus Christ.
Its twelve years in the NFL journey was full of ups and downs. But he held on to keep on using the gifts and talents, God had given him.
I happened to be in the gym, when came to his retirement speech. I stopped and listened. This speech is one of the most original, classy, and heartfelt speeches that you will ever hear. It is so inspiring that I watched it several times.
Warner Kurt life is a fine example lead by God with an ordinary person into an extraordinary life. The speech he talks about the Bible and how the Bible is full of stories of ordinary people and how God uses them in extraordinary ways.
I could not let this event happen, without acknowledging what a beautiful example of the belief that Kurt Warner has set for all of us. I know that I am inspired by his story and that because of his obstinacy, I'll post in the handle the dreams that God has given me continue. I hope that you are getting.
