Do I wear the wrong size bra?

Some websites say to measure the ribcage (under breasts) and add 4″ to an even number and 5″ to an odd number. Some websites say that the measurement should not be altered and whatever you measure is your size. Ugh!

The numbers are the cup size and the letters are around.
For instance .Say i was a 32 B ,.But i grew more in the rib cage area but not my boobs.
I’d be a 32 C . If my boobs grew bigger but not my body id be a 34 B (:
