This is a hypothetical question, I'm not there to shop for a wedding dress, but I've recorded years in the past that 95% of wedding dresses I see in magazines, on TV, strapless, etc.. It does not look good, unless the bride is lucky a well-proportioned figure (not flat-chested but none have Big Fat Moo-Cow breasts either). Sun whassup with the lack of originality?
b / c it IMO Halters is the most elegant look to make me a beach and spaghetti straps are just not quite so nice I think strapless is just really classic, beautiful and noble, but that's me just
Transgender Gal and Her Favorite Peach Strapless Dress
I’ve seen a few answers here with people complaining that dresses people were asking about were strapless. I was just wondering what was wrong with strapless dresses? I’ve never see anyone explain why they don’t like them.
Personally, I think if the dress look good on someone & flaters their figure there is nothing wrong with the dress. I had a strapless dress, after swearing I’d never buy one, & adored it. Out of the 50 dresses I tried on it flatered me more than any others & it wouldn’t have looked right with straps in my opinion.
So I’m just cruious, do you like strapless dresses? If not, is there a reason?
Wanted to throw out there that I myself have a large chest (36DD), which was why I never wanetd a streapless dress. I found one of really high guality though, which didn’t feel like it was falling & gave me fabulous support. Another reason I picked it actually, I felt more support in it than some dresses with straps.
I am not sure why people have a problem with strapless dresses. I think alot of people prefer something other than strapless because the majority of wedding gowns are strapless these days so they prefer something different.
Everyone who has written above is absolutely correct… purchasing your wedding gown.. it’s about what looks good on your specific body… and not everyone is going to like the same things. There are so many stereotypes about wedding gowns and big busts, or small busts and what not. I’ve had so many brides walk in and say “I can’t do wear this…” and “I can only wear this..” … to tell you the truth… I put my brides in EVERYTHING… I make them try on every different style… and you would not believe how many brides ultimately go with a style they thought they couldn’t wear.
The fact about them falling down does add discomfort to some people, so they don’t chose them. Bottom line is.. if you have a good seamstress, then you won’t be yanking and pulling it up all day/night. There are so many things that you can do inside a dress to make it fit PERFECT. If I bride is yanking… her seamstress did not do their job!!
